yes, it is time for me to ramble. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
First I must say that Tamaki is my king. Therefore, this rant/ramble will be very biased.
That stated, why is it that America seems to prefer its TV shows long and drawn out? I mean, all successful soap operas have at least 3 seasons, and cartoons should have over 100 episodes to be popular. Some examples would be Looney Toons, and from anime, Naruto, Pokemon...and Naruto. Right now I am particularly sick of the popularity Naruto has, both in America and Japan.
Personally, I like my anime to be shorter. (Hell, TV doesn't apply since I never watch it). I think that, in going past episode 100, 150, 200, etc., just makes a series beging to repeat itself, get dull, and lose impact. Like, people complain about Cowboy Bebop being too short. I think that is a completely insane idea. The ending gave the series impact and closure. Why milk it until the creators get sick of it and slap on a crappy ending?
I personally think that everything about Ouran High School Host Club is 120% more appealing than Naruto: art, characters, music, etc., but I'm alone in my sentiment it seems. I want more Host Club merchandise, but they're too busy w/ Naruto stuff. I'd like to discuss OHSHC, but the people I find are more interested in the latest Naruto fight. It'd be the same to put any 26 episode anime against Naruto. It drives me nuts
